I have to be honest….

This morning when the alarm went off at 5:45, I did NOT want to get out of bed and I did NOT want to do my BURSTClub workout.

The thought actually ran through my head, “Who are the crazy people who came up with this workout?”  I was sore and sleepy, but decided to push through, knowing that in 15 minutes I’d be wide awake and so thankful I chose to workout rather than keep sleeping.

Do you ever have those days?  Maybe you have far more than you’d like to admit!

It’s OK!  On those days when you are seriously dragging and dreading your workout, remind yourself like I did this morning, “It’s only 15 minutes from start to finish.  It’s not an hour.  I only have to give it everything I’ve got for 3 minutes.  I can do this!”   You might even remind yourself that you won’t die.  I seriously tell myself this all the time when I’m in the middle of a workout that makes me feel like I’m going to die!

When you lay in bed too long and think about how hard it is to get up, that broken record of negativity will soon take over.   You may as well kiss your morning workout good-bye!

So before you let the record needle get stuck on “I can’t do this today,” change the tune to “I will do this today!”  As busy as most of us are, that split second decision of getting out of bed to workout or not could be the deciding factor on if you do it at all today!   In spite of great intentions to “do it later” the business of your to do list may crowd it right out of your schedule.

To help you through “Hump-Day”, here is a new exercise not seen anywhere in our BURSTClub programs!  It will really wake up every muscle in your body!  Substitute it for one of your regular exercises today or if you have already worked out this morning, do a quick round of just this exercise later today.
